Pooles is currently going through an exciting growth phase and are looking to recruit for the following positions:

Manager

  • 7+ years experience in tax and business advisory services.
  • Strong work ethic and high level client service skills.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients in the range of $300,000 - $400,000 in fees.
  • Professionally presented with a proactive attitude.
  • A high level technical knowledge across the general taxation fields relating to farming and business clients.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing staff.
  • High level research skills and the capability to play a leading role in supporting partners with higher level advice.
  • Facilitate end-to-end service for your clients, taking full responsibility for the client relationship by attending to all their compliance and advisory needs whilst reporting to a partner.
  • Enthusiastic contributor to firm's development.
  • Realistic pathway to equity opportunity for proven performers.

Senior Accountant

  • 5+ years experience in tax and business advisory services.
  • Reporting to a Partner, the role is responsible for providing accurate and timely accounting and tax services
  • Manage a portfolio of clients in the range of $100,000 - $150,000 in fees, taking full responsibility for all compliance needs and assisting the Partner with any advisory work.
  • Strong work ethic and client service skills.
  • Professionally presented with a proactive attitude.
  • Sound technical knowledge across the general taxation fields relating to farming and business clients.
  • Willingness to take on some staff mentoring and reviewing of other staff's work.
  • Strong career progression opportunities exist within the firm for proven performers. 

Accountant

  • 3+ years experience in public accounting firm.
  • Ability to independently prepare full breadth of compliance work (BAS, financial statement preparation, tax returns and tax planning) for a cross section of clients.
  • Strong work ethic and client service skills.
  • Presents professionally with a proactive attitude and strong communication ability.
  • Looking for challenge of taking responsibility for meeting all of the clients compliance needs.
  • Strong career progression opportunities exist within the firm for proven performers.
